My 8 year old loves her tumbling mats, it's great for back bends, kickovers, and walk overs. It's long enough to do cartwheels and roundoffs. I wish it was a little thicker and had better threading on the sides because even though it hasn't tore theres alot of loose threading on the ends so we are always checking for rips or tears. Other then that definitely a great purchase!This mat is great! Just as pictured! It’s good quality!It is a good mat for higher impact activities like plyometrics, martial arts, and probably even some gymnastics moves. For yoga, it is good for some types of moves (like frog, camel, etc.) and not great for others (mostly balance moves because you can sink down into it a bit which can throw your balance off). Basically, any yoga move in which it is helpful to pad your knees or shoulders is wonderful. Any moves that require you to be on one leg for an extended period of time, it may cause you to lose your balance too much. For people who do the Team Beachbody workouts, it is great for most of the workouts in P90X, all of the Insanity workouts, and any of the other workouts that require you to jump around.The only drawback I have noticed is that the seams will start to split open after a while. Nothing so bad that a strip of duct tape does not cure it, but given that it is not an inexpensive mat that could be a deal-breaker.I ordered two of the mats for my 7year old and one is holding up great the other had a minor manufacture defect and the stitches were coming apart in just 2 weeks, I was very upset and contacted the customer service. they were very responsive and fixed the problem right away! I appreciate the companies that value their product and do a fair business with their customer!My granddaughter love itThey seem of good quality and feel soft enough to get slammed on, unlike some other brand I had ordered and felt hard to land on. The only issue on these mats is that they are not truly 4x10. Length wise they are 4 inches short and width wise they are 2 inches short. It was noticeable size difference compared to the other brand that had came in. It makes a big difference if you have more than two jointed. It’s not good business ethic to be shorting people on your product. That’s why I gave them 3 starsBeing a working dad and busy all the time, it's really hard to exercise; I needed to make it as convenient as possible to exercise so I could still make it happen. This was the perfect mat to fit across the end of my office under my movie screen. Now I can go and stretch or do exercises whenever I need a short break, and my baby can crawl on it while I work too. My older son sometimes likes to lie next to me on the mat and pretend he is doing exercises too!My office is in the basement, and one of the walls is stone, so small amounts of the debris are always falling off, and over time it builds up on the floor. This mat folds up easily so you can set it to the side and clean the room, then put it back down again.But I've also always had trouble with yoga mats and the like, which are only half as long as a normal human body (when exercising, you can't measure head to toe, but even assuming you lie perfectly still with your arms at your sides in a coffin position to do all your exercises, almost all yoga mats I've seen STILL can't even fit a normal sized person, not to mention a taller person). This mat is perfect size though: even stretched out as far as I can with my body, I still have a foot or so of leeway on either end so I'm not sliding off. And it has ample width for most exercises and stretches too. It's also not too big though, and shouldn't have much trouble fitting across one end of a normal-sized office or bedroom.I'm really glad I bought this, and I wish I had done it sooner in life, because I probably could have been a bit healthier!Bought for granddaughter to practice gymnastics. She loves it. Works very well. Stays in place. Very thick padding.
