I got this for a 2002 Explorer XLT, mainly based on the reviews for the same brand that fit in newer Explorers, since there were no reviews for this particular one. I have to say, I'm a little disappointed. First, it doesn't fit very snugly, so it kind of shifts back and forth. And even worse, and makes it shift even more, is that it's more of a stiff plastic, and not rubber,so it's VERY slick. Looks pretty good just on its own, but when I put it in my Explorer, it just looks like a non-custom fit generic cargo mat. I'll probably go ahead and order a Weathertech. I always know better than to try and save a few bucks, I'm kind of picky about how my stuff looks. I gave it 3 stars instead of 2 because I'm hoping if it lays in there a while, it'll form better to the rear floor. I'd be more optimistic if it were rubber and not a stiff plastic. Oh well, at least there's now at least one review for the 3rd Gen owners. I'll update this review if it does happen to mold better in a few days.
